Chicago’s Ukrainian Village Neighborhood is bound by Damen, Western, Grand and Division. This neighborhood is a sub-section within the larger West Town neighborhood. Ukrainian Village is named after its dense Ukrainian population, many of whom originally immigrated to this Chicago neighborhood in the early 1900’s.
Ukrainian Village is a unique Near West neighborhood that includes a mixture of its original Ukrainian residents and a new wave of young hipsters. The real estate in this neighborhood reflects it’s old community roots and its newly emerging popularity amongst younger Chicagoans. Ukrainian Village has many trendy Chicago hangouts, bar-restaurants, hip dance clubs and nightspots.
