Chicago’s Andersonville Neighborhood is bound by Argyle, Bryn Mawr, Magnolia (1250W) and Ravenswood (1800W). Andersonville is a traditionally Swedish neighborhood which still contains many Swedish restaurants and businesses as well as the Swedish American Center Museum. The Andersonville neighborhood has experienced a surge of retail development and new restaurant openings during the last two years and is continuing to grow.

Andersonville is probably most well known for its shops and restaurants along Clark Street. This section includes many European-style bakeries and cafes, boutique shops, art galleries, small furniture stores and more. Andersonville’s real estate profile consists primarily of single family residences, 2-Flats and 3-Flats. There are very few larger buildings in this neighborhood which helps to maintain its quaint small-town feel.

Since Andersonville is a relatively small neighborhood geographically it can be difficult to find your ideal condo rental here. When condos come on the market they tend to be very nice quality and the single family homes are usually very unique. A 2br/2ba condo rental might cost between $1600-$2200 and a 3br/2ba simplex will range from $1800-$2400. If you can find a 3-4br duplex unit you can expect to pay between $2400-$3200.
